As part of an effort to make the Encyclopaedia on Family and The Law reflect the many different current attitudes to, and perceptions of the family justice system, we have added an Opinion category to the project, so that authors who wish to submit pieces with their own personal perspectives on the system can do so.
These pieces will be clearly labelled “OPINION” and should be regarded differently to those pieces which are purely fact-based, as a traditional encyclopaedia entry would be. Such pieces may differ from standard encyclopaedic articles because they either offer a critique of the family justice system or certain aspects of it and, or may be written with a view to offering suggestions for improvement within the system.
The views expressed within opinion pieces do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial staff and sole responsibility for the views held in these opinion pieces lies with the authors.
We hope you’ll find this section fascinating.
